as someone who has been a victim of this incredible overreach by these agencies…i think reinstating Chevron would just end up causing the deaths of millions more. We already know that the FDA and the FTC caused uncountable deaths during the last 5yrs by censoring companies, physicians, and scientists from sharing info, scientific studies published in the medical literature. Why would we ever want organizations of such low morals to manage the information we need for our personal healthcare?

ANH forces me to think too much (lol). The failure of the FDA to protect public access to dietary supplements arises from user fees paid by Big Pharma to the FDA. These fees buy regulations that are favorable to Big Pharma but often disadvantageous to dietary supplement companies, whose products compete with Big Pharma. Under this scenario, S4749 needs to be stopped, for it will re-establish the primacy of agency interpretations that are pro-drug and anti-supplement. However, S4749 has no bearing on the de facto restrictive status of dietary supplements within the FDA. Big Pharma’s user fees must be abolished.
