Please understand that Armour Thyroid and NP Thyroid and the generic I take are NOT COMPOUNDED THYROID MEDICATIONS.

Compounded thyroid medications are synthetic whereas regular natural desiccated thyroid is made naturally from pig thyroid.

The compounded medications help many people, but also DO NOT help many people such as myself. When I tried compounded at my PCP's advice -- poor advice -- I got sicker and sicker and sicker. And when I spoke to the compounding pharmacist he told me about a patient who was taking HUGE amounts of it and it was easy to conclude that it was not helping her.

Please clarify this on your website; I really appreciate what you do and want it to be the best!

In the early years of my autoimmune thyroid issue, NDT was the only thing that worked for me because my gut was such a mess that I could not convert the synthetic form of thyroid meds into the usable form. I want to have this med available should I need it again!
Furthermore, an NIH study where they actually under dosed the NDT group, those on NDT still came out feeling better with NDT than the synthetic form.
This med must absolutely be saved!
