Stop listening to the drug company lobbyists and the insurance companies and do what’s right for those of us who cannot survive on synthetic thyroid medication. If this happens. the cost of medical care will increase for everyone due to the ineffectiveness of synthetic thyroid and the resulting cascade of additional health problems. This has an impact on the ability of many to work, support ourselves and pay taxes. If it isn’t broken, then don’t fix it.

It is a well established fact that NDT has been used successfully for over 120 years without major medical consequences. Is the FDA choosing to listen exclusively to the corporate profiteers rather than hearing from patients themselves who rely on NDT for health and well-being?This is unconscionable. This is inhumane.

I have been taking Armour Thyroid for many, many yeas after suddenly passing (blacking) out everywhere. The product has been a God send for
me and I am extremely upset that the FDA wants to take that from me. The idea that I cannot not continue this product after all these
years because it is perceived to be “natural” ???? This is a disgrace.

Please do not allow this to happen. We are, after all a “free” country are we not? This may not seem like a big deal to people who
don’t need Armour Thyroid but it is a huge deal for those that do.

The 130 years of use with few concerns should be proof enough that it is safe and effective. Additionally, natural thyroid contains important substances, such as calcitonin the synthetic options don’t provide. I am opposed to removing natural dedicated thyroid from use.

Big Pharma is doing the same here in Canada to our Natural Health Care producers/providers; consequently through Canadian NHPPA Action, many (close to 75% ?) of Canadians have been signing petitions and telephoning our federal government representatives! But still no federal gov’t action in response!

If blood work showed after taking Synthroid wasn’t effective would “consider” covering NP Thyroid. My body requires “natural” not synthetic whether it is a R/x or a food for optimal health. In order to get a 3 month supply of NP Thyroid cost me $140.00. Talk about a double standard yes your medical insurance R/x plan will “cover” it IF . . . Evidently, their profit margins and bringing in higher dividends to their stock holders is their priority.
