Say no to this bill !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. George Knoppe says:

Another fine McCain POS legislation. Mr McCain you need to step off! – your antics are beyond annoying. May I suggest a retirement in Crawford TX… again! Don’t you have other more important things to do than worry about what taxpaying freedom loving Americans do with their own lives in their pursuit of happiness? Do you not understand this basic idea Mr McCain?

  3. joe daliessio says:

    this is stupid

  4. Gayla J Preston says:

Please DO NOT support this proposal…we, the American public, have the right to decided if we want to choose to take suplements or not. Perhaps, the government should be looking at/investigating the FDA, which holds the power to approve/dis-approve life-saving medications for people. Drugs that we are NOT getting, due to slow, out-dated red tape!

  5. Darlene Akers says:

Please leave our health choices to us!

  6. Dean says:

This is another attempt to make us all vulnerable to the evil designs of Big Pharma and the NWO lizards who are out to cull the population. Sen Dick Durbin had a bill pass through Con-gress about a year ago that makes DHEA illegal. DHEA is a vitally important hormone that anyone over 50 should definitely be using as the body is producing a lot less of it and the output continues to decline as one further ages. Anyway, this bill is sitting in the House of Reps, just waiting to be passed at the opportune time. McCain’s bill is more sweeping in scope and is worrisome. All those incessant reports on the dangers or ineffectiveness of some supplements is to weaken the resistance to something like Durbin’s and McCain’s bills. Big Pharma already owns a fair number of supplement companies. But the big money is in those highly toxic drugs, including vaccines, which just happen to weaken and kill a big number of us each year.

  7. Jeff says:

It is up to us to yank McCain’s head out of Big Pharma’s rear end.
This, another backward idea (an even more thoughtless idea than his past moronic ideas) stems from McCain’s long standing habit of drinking his own bathwater.
This BS needs to be stopped in it’s tracks. Obviously , the greedy McCain boy is living fat off the kick backs from Big Pharma and wants to Supplement HIS payola even further at the expense of our freedoms and well being.
This “so-called” Senator (HA!!!) and his “ideas” needs to be recalled, retired and put to pasture. He definitely has nothing to offer this nation or humanity.

MY BODY, MY LIFE. MY CHOICE.

  9. Mike Miele says:

    This Bill must not pass!

  10. Rawchi says:

Be sure to contact your Senators about this!
Give the phone number of your Senator to everyone you talk to about this bill!
We can complain all we like, but unless we let Congress know it means nothing.
This is a great organization, they make it easy to contact your representatives, but get informed and make those phone calls as well!

  11. We need whole food supplements to heal people, synthetics only mask the symptoms, not nourish the system as whole food supplements do. We are from the earth and we need the earth will heal us. Not the chemistry lab. Is this what you want for your grandkids? Do you want them dumb and sick?
    Val Warren

  12. amy says:

Can you please tell me what to do to help stop John McCain. He truly hates the american people and loves drug companies. Drug companies must be paying him off big time.

  13. bob billings says:

please do not support senator mc cains bill allow us to make our own choices about our health care

  14. Sam says:

Leave Adults alone. If a grown adult wants to use steroids then they should be able to. Their are far worst things for as adult to use that are perfectly legal{Cigarettes, Alcohol} So we as citizens can not determine for ourselves what’s in our best interest ???
We can go die for “Freedom” but get very little for ourselves…correct ???…No now it’s dietary supplements ? However it’s perfectly legal to take cialis or viagra that is $12 per tablet. I can not take something to improve performance as a man{Not an athlete} ? Oh i can as long as it’s lining the pockets of Big Pharma and I’m getting beat over the head with the price.
Leave supplements alone along with our own personal freedoms.

  15. Leanne Wylet says:

I am a personal trainer & firmly believe the control of dietary supplements is not the answer. To destroy the DSHEA legislation allowing the freedom to choose what I ingest into my body is an individual thing. I’m aware there is a few abuses of supplements but the Poison Control board hasn’t had any reports from deaths from them. Why not go after the drug companies instead? The stats are out on the number of side effects and deaths as result of taking them. The sports team associations need to continue to monitor players for drug abuse at their level not the Federal level. For those who really want to take steroids and other drug enhancing drugs to help with their sports will find a way to get them destroying access to vitamins, herbs and minerals will hurt the general population than anyone else.
Enough of our personal freedoms have been compromised and destroyed. Enough is enough.

  16. Do we really live in a free country when even our right to take vitamins is being threatened? Stop this bill!

  17. Pete says:

This cannot go through……….the drivers around this can be simply summrized by saying “follow the money.” For McCain — simply take a look at where his campaign contributions come from.
    Pete

  18. B. Fierro says:

In the event this bill passes I will not take drugs and this is not freedom as the America is suppose to be…McCain you are wrong…this bill cannot pass.

  19. Brian says:

everyone needs to get the message out to stop this now, we can stop it!!!

  20. Elizabeth A. McCall says:

This bill must NOT be passed. I know what my body can take and what is not acceptable to it. Please do not let it go through.

  21. Della1025 says:

Dear Sen. McCain…..Are you serious?? You have nothing better to focus your time as a “public servant?” If this were to pass it would certainly go down as one of the biggest disservices to the public ever imposed. It looks as though you are owned by the drug companies as is the FDA itself. You better retract your push for this kind of legislation. You know its wrong and ought to be in fear of not only loosing your integrity, but your very soul. It would do you well to educate yourself on some holistic practices for your own health. I’d be willing to bet you take one or more prescriptions daily. Prescriptions that only suppress your symptoms, do nothing to address the underlying cause…..and come loaded with dozens of side effects far worse than the condition you are trying to treat….Pitiful!

  22. Debb says:

SAY NO TO THIS BILL AND ANY LIKE IT ! WE ARE AMERICANS,WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO OUR HEALTH FREEDOM,STOP ALLOWING OUR STATE & GOV’T OFFICALS DICTATE TO US WHAT WE CAN AND CAN NOT DO,AMERICA LAND OF THE FREE ! REALLY WHATS NEXT? I SAY NO TO HAVING OUR HEALTH & LIVES DICTATED BY OUR GOV’T & STATE OFFICALS!

  23. ANGELICA says:

Are we living in America or Cuba?…

  24. Brenda says:

If it weren’t for the whole food supplements, herbs and chinese medicine my alt dr suggested I take…the breast cancer I was diagnosed with, would have gone everywhere…8 months later mammogram was normal!!! your body can heal itself if given the right stuff….Let us decide….

  25. CHERI WALTER says:

SENATOR MCCAIN, LEAVE OUR HEALTH SUPPLIMENTS ALONE. IF YOU DONT WANT TO TAKE THEM, FINE. BUT STOP THIS CRAZY BILL
    CHERI

  26. ANDREW CLAY says:

I am against McCain’s proposed supplement legislation.

  27. Kathy says:

PLEASE…….Let us have some modicum of freedom!!! YOU ARE NOT THE BOSS OF ME….as my grandchildren would say. I am a 66 year old heart attack survivor. I have been using things like CoQ10 and Stevia and Vitamin D3, fish oil, etc., for years. I pay for these things myself. I don’t need the government to come in and regulate the heck out of them….causing them to sky rocket in price, or worse yet, dictate that only pharmaceutical companies can manufacture these substances. JUST LEAVE US ALONE….we are capable of making our choices. Big brothers heavy hand has done enough damage. Now you are going to try to take over Preventive medecine!?!? It has been 10 years since my heart attack….and I’m doing very well, thank you!! Don’t yank the rug out from under me, forcing me to go to the doctors more often and take more prescription medication….which will some day ruin my kidneys and my liver.
NO, NO, NO to this horrible idea you call legislation!!

  28. Susanne Zike says:

Hello, Mr. Non-government-interference ~ This bill makes no sense and in fact, makes things worse for many people than they already are !
Stop and think – If the Democrats suggested this – would YOU vote for it?
    I think not. Please Stop!
    Susanne Zike, Tucson

  29. Vera Kurochka says:

MY BODY, MY LIFE. MY CHOICE. SO Please leave us our freedom thanks.

  30. Prudence says:

Mr. McCain, PLEASE do NOT pass this bill. It’s not needed or wanted.

  31. Terry Mahon says:

    Say no to the bill!!!!!

  32. Kaki Kruse says:

We need our vitamins supplements now more than ever, especially since the goverment is really messing up with the health reform bill and people like Joe Lieberman who doesn’t want a public option in the bill. The people should be trying to get healther by going on all natural supplements, their not drugs it’s an all natural way and better for you, so stop trying to push chemical medication from the pharmacutial companies on to people, let them have their vitamins and minerals supplements. Our health is our own business not theirs.

  33. Lori Kane says:

I want to decide for myself so I ask to please so NO to this bill!

  34. Carol Spooner says:

    Mr. McCain,
Veto the bill to control or reduce access to vitamins, minerals and or herbs. The people do not need protection from these natural supplements; access to them is vital to health. Synthetics may increase the bottom line of big business but they do not provide prevention or health maintenance. The science supporting the use of supplements reinforces the public’s need for free access to them.
PLEASE STOP MOVEMENT ON THIS BILL. THIS BILL DOES NOT PROTECT THE PEOPLE’S INTEREST YOU ARE HIRED TO PROTECT!
    LET US KEEP SOME FREEDOM!
If you choose to support this bill I can honestly say I will never vote for you in any election- that includes dog catcher!!!

  35. Mary McQuown says:

This bill will affect many of us older folks who depend on supplements for our continued good health. Maybe Sen. McCain should have tried some. Maybe he would have had an easier time of it over the years with his health, had he used some of the excellent supplements that help us. Mr. McCain, get out of the drug companies pockets and let us have some freedoms in the life.
