I know they work for some people, but when my practitioner prescribed them for me — when I had been successfully using regular NDT — I got sicker and sicker. When I asked the compounding pharmacist about them, he had another patient who was taking HUGE amounts of compounded thyroid; her practitioner was in a group with my practitioner!

So regular NDT works for many people, particularly hypothyroid patients who eat and supplement with intention.
