I had great hopes for the Office of Alternative Medicine when I approached my Senator Harkin and my Congressman Berkley Bedell about an Institute of Alternative Medicine (IAM). It was quickly taken over by idiots who wanted to study the “softer things” like massage therapy or aroma therapy for people with cancer. I wanted to address the 3 major killers of the time Heart Disease, Cancer and HIV but they would not have it.

I have a slightly more radical idea about FDA.

We should split FDA into two separate agencies. The Food Administration (TFA) and The Drug Administration (TDA).

Again, thank you for your fine work and tell Jonathan hello as well – he is the real deal. I supported him in his Senate run.
