RFK Jr. Senate Confirmation Hearing: Have Your Say

RFK Jr. Senate Confirmation Hearing: Have Your Say

Mainstream medicine is mobilizing to block RFK’s nomination to head the Health Department. We need to demonstrate strong grassroots support behind him and his agenda to get to the heart of the chronic disease epidemic. Action Alert!

THE TOPLINE

  • Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is committed to addressing the root causes of chronic diseases, including poor nutrition, environmental toxins, sedentary lifestyles, and stress, advocating for a prevention-focused healthcare model.
  • The medical establishment, including a group of 15,000 doctors and notable figures like Hawaii’s governor, is lobbying against RFK’s nomination, fearing the disruption of the current healthcare system.
  • The Alliance for Natural Health (ANH) sees RFK’s nomination as a unique opportunity to advance reforms such as eliminating harmful chemicals, promoting scientific transparency, and improving access to natural therapies.

Fear is a natural reaction to change, and mainstream medicine is scared. Disruption is the only way to fix a broken system.

We are in desperate need of a major overhaul in how we manage our health, practice medicine, and how we think about health and disease. For nearly a century, we’ve tried it big pharma’s way: we treat sick people with an ever-increasing amount of drugs that do not address the underlying causes and drivers of chronic disease. This is perverse given that all major health authorities recognize that most are preventable! That this approach has failed is beyond question: we are getting sicker and less resilient, not healthier and more resilient. Despite all the technological advances in biology and medicine, rates of chronic disease are at an all-time high—and continuing to rise—and they’re impacting ever younger age groups.

RFK Jr. understands this and has committed to address the underlying causes of the chronic disease epidemic, all of which we have discussed for years in this newsletter: poor nutrition, exposure to environmental chemicals, sedentary lifestyles, and stress, to name a few. To really reverse this, we need a new model, one where individuals and their doctors are partners in creating vibrant health, where prevention of disease is paramount, and where free speech, scientific transparency, and freedom to make informed choices are the guiding principles.

Of course, such a transformation threatens the status quo, so those who are part of the old guard will fight tooth and nail to preserve a system that has given them power, prestige, and a great deal of wealth. A group of 15,000 doctors sent a letter to the Senate urging them to reject RFK’s nomination; Hawaii’s governor and practicing physician, Josh Green, is joining in, lobbying Congress to reject RFK and has written an op-ed in the New York Times arguing the same.

We’ve had a few messages into our office asking if we’re taking up a partisan position by getting behind RFK Jr. Let us explain. ANH is absolutely a non-partisan organization. It is our mandate to advance the cause of natural health and personal autonomy in healthcare, whoever is in power. The nomination of an individual that aligns so closely with our own vision for healthcare is a rare opportunity to move the needle forward in a significant way on many of our issues, from eliminating exposures to health-destroying chemicals, cleaning up our food system, eliminating the corruption and conflicts of interest at the FDA, and elevating scientific transparency. This is no different to our historic lobbying efforts on the Hill when—over many years—we opposed Senator Dick Durbin’s (D-IL) initiatives while supporting those of former Senator Tom Harkin (D-IA). We’ve also been highly critical of previous FDA Commissioners, and this is the first opportunity we’ve had to support a secretary of health.

Our strategy for 2025 has been evolving by the day, the agenda and goals getting ever larger as we look to the multitude of ways in which we can seize on emerging opportunities in the health and political landscape. We are gunning for unprecedented reforms that will greatly increase access to, and information about, natural health approaches that have the potential to transform the health of the American people.

Things are already moving in the right direction. After years of inaction, the FDA has finally moved to ban the food dye Red No. 3. Perhaps it is just a coincidence that this was one of RFK’s stated priorities.

RFK’s confirmation hearing has not yet been announced, but we need to make our voices heard now to build support ahead of that hearing. If RFK Jr. is confirmed as Secretary of Health, the job of accomplishing these goals would become exponentially easier.
