It’s my absolute pleasure to introduce you to Erin Burke, freelance journalist and Akashic session facilitator, whom I interviewed for Episode Three in the August Acceleration series. Building on the strong foundation for mind and body healing laid down by my previous guests, Xandra Hawes and Sam Cooper, Erin sets out a course for deep and abiding healing through the quantum realm via the Akasha.

The Akasha, also called the Akash, is a Sanskrit word to describe sky, space or ether in Indian cosmology – a plane of existence that is in the unseen world of the quantum realms. It can also loosely be translated to mean ‘that which holds all’, hence the term Akashic Records, which refers to one’s individual soul ‘library’ of records, or more accurately, memories and experiences since time began.  

About Erin Burke

For over a decade, Erin has facilitated Akashic sessions for those in need of answers, truth, clarity and Divine guidance from their Guides and Angels. Having suffered child abuse and ritual abuse as an adult, she sought support, answers and healing via multiple modalities to no avail. It wasn’t until she had her first Akashic session that her healing journey took a pivotal turn. As a means of shedding a mountain of trauma, destructive patterns and negative conditioning, her work in the Akashic Records became a daily practice. It wasn’t long before she realised that her gift of unique Akashic connection could help others as well. 

After having lived the bulk of her adult life in utter misery, some of which stemmed from blindly existing in the cattle call of a corporate cubicle farm, she’s finally pursuing her dream of independence as a freelance journalist and entrepreneur. She graduated from Kansas State University (a few decades ago) with a degree in journalism; is an abiding, attentive servant of Maude the Super Cat; appreciates a lovely glass of Pinot Grigio (Italian is best); and is writing a memoir about her seriously weird, wondrous and extraordinary life.  

This is the first time she’s shared her story publicly, but believes it’s important to underscore the fact that no one need live with trauma, and that regardless of how dark the place, there’s always a way back to wholeness and oneness with self. It’s only in that place of peace and homeostasis where we can truly create the life we want, and deserve.

Welcome to Episode One of the 2023 August Acceleration interview series. I’m thrilled to introduce you to my first guest, Xandra Hawes, who describes herself as a psychotherapist and psychic medium. An unusual combination of disciplines, but Xandra has spent years exploring the intersection between psychology and spirituality and is more than qualified to share her perspective on emotions being a bridge to consciousness and healing. She also references how the language may be different in different disciplines, but the effect being discussed, whether in psychotherapy or shamanism for instance, is similar. I also like to think of emotions as our internal navigation system.

We need to heal in order to feel whole, but true healing always involves doing the emotional shadow work too and in so doing, learning how to use our emotions to reclaim our intended and inherent potential.

Xandra Hawes is a licensed therapist, psychic medium, and spiritual mentor with over 10 years of experience in the field of mental health and wellness. Dr. Leo Pruimboom is the latest guest on Speaking Naturally, a podcast in which Rob Verkerk, PhD, ANH’s founder and Executive and Scientific Director, has uncensored conversations with some of the world’s leading researchers, scientists, and thinkers.

Dr. Pruimboom is the founder of clinical psychoneuroimmunology – CPNI for short, or KPNI if you’re in Europe — and the Intermittent Living concept. Please note the distinction between psychoneuroimmunology (PNI), which was a concept advanced by Robert Ader and Nicholas Cohen back in 1975, and clinical psychoneuroimmunology, the practical and clinical application of PNI principles, Dr. Pruimboom’s brainchild.

He describes clinical psychoneuroimmunology as an advanced and complete medicine that provides an integrative overview of patients’ health. It examines interconnected body systems and their relationship with psychological, social and ecological aspects of the patient’s life. Thus, it would be closer to the mark to say that CPNI is the application of ‘clinical psycho-neuro–socio-endo-metabolo-immunology’ in the pursuit of the multiple risk factors which activate disease mechanisms. Hard science, anchored by a core of epistemology, delivered with softer skills.

Dr. Pruimboom admits he’s been criticized at times for being too hypothesis-led, but the world has been built on those willing to follow a hunch and take a risk. Undeterred by any detractors, Dr. Pruimboom has spent over 3 decades pioneering the field of clinical PNI and developing and directing educational programs. His master’s courses have been hosted by four different universities and he regularly runs external CPNI courses and webinars for medical professionals.

This year sees CPNI celebrating 35 successful years as a translational medical discipline.
